Sonoma Valley Hospital hosts balance classes

Sonoma Valley Hospital’s Hand and Physical Therapy Clinic will continue its Balance Classes this fall, designed to help seniors concerned about falling, develop improved balance and confidence as they go about their daily activities.

Classes begin with a personal evaluation followed by eight sessions of therapeutic exercise to increase strength and balance. Each class can accommodate up to six participants who meet twice weekly for a month, noon to 1 p.m., at the Physical Therapy Clinic, 19312 Sonoma Highway in Sonoma.

There is no out-of-pocket cost for Medicare patients. The cost for those wishing to pay privately is $200, which is due at registration. A physician’s prescription is required before joining the class. For a schedule of upcoming classes, call 935-5345.
