Sonoma marches to protest climate change

About 200 people made signs and marched Sunday afternoon from the First Congregational Church to the Sonoma Plaza protesting climate change.

The march was in conjunction with hundreds of other marches across the globe on Sunday, to coincide with the start of the emergency Climate Summit hosted by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in NYC, beginning today.

Local groups included churches, the Sonoma Valley Grange and Transition Sonoma Valley, among others. Here, Tim Boeve, one of the organizers, gives some instructions to the throng as they line West Napa Street in front of City Hall.
