Sonoma hosts Lobos in home finale tonight

The Sonoma Valley High School varsity football boys are in second place and riding a three-game Sonoma County League win streak into this evening’s home finale against league foe Elsie Allen. The Dragons are 6-2 overall and 3-1 in SCL play.

Before the 7:30 p.m. opening kickoff of tonight’s varsity game – the junior varsity play at 5 p.m. – Sonoma will honor its football and cheerleading seniors and their parents.

The Dragon football seniors include Gregorio Alvarez, Hank Anderson, Austin Bailey, JJ Bollman, Dante Chipchase, Todd Decendario,  Joe Decker, Dan Deely, Kyler Fritz, Isais Gonzales, Mitch Hood, Cordell Kenniston, Dario Minatta, Ed Pomeroy, Matt Robinson, Adrian Roman, Jose Rubio, Brandon Santana, Dylan Sanders and Jose Valencia.

Sonoma’s senior cheerleaders are Sammie Agulara, Jordan Cramer, Brittany Daly, Iman Flores, Savanah Halby and Sherylyn Myers.

After this evening’s clash, the Dragon gridders hit the road for their SCL and regular season finale next Friday, Nov. 8, when they battle at longtime rival Petaluma under the Durst Field lights at 7:30 p.m.
