Sonoma Ecology Center hosts wreath-making workshop

The community is invited to attend the Sonoma Ecology Center’s annual holiday wreath-making workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Sonoma Garden Park.

Renowned Sonoma Valley florist Natasha Drengson will guide participants to create stylish winter wreaths using local, natural materials.

The ecology center will provide basic workshop materials. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own materials, such as stems of berries, dried flowers, seedpods, canning lids, burlap, garden clippings, ribbon, or any other small items. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own pruners, scissors, wire-cutters and/or knives.

All participants will leave with their hand-crafted wreaths.

This two-hour, family friendly hands-on workshop is open to the public, and is suitable for all levels of experience. Warm beverages and refreshments will be served.

Workshop fee varies from $25 for small wreaths, $35 for large. Members of the ecology center receive $5 off. All proceeds benefit Sonoma Garden Park, an educational campus of Sonoma Ecology Center.
