Sonoma Community Center offers solar workshop

The Sonoma Community Center will present a one-day workshop “Introduction to Solar Electricity” from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 26.

The class is a collaboration between SCC’s Center for Sustainable Living program and the Sonoma County Energy Independence Project.

Instructor Daniel Kerbein will provide an introduction to the basics of how solar PV generates electricity, the benefits of solar use to homeowners and businesses, and how a system’s size and cost are maintained.

Class size is limited. Prospective attendees are asked to register by April 23 by calling Sonoma Community Center at 938-4626, ext. 1. Registration for the class is $25, $22 for SCC members.

The Sonoma Community Center is located at 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

The mission of the Center for Sustainable Living at Sonoma Community Center is to provide environmental education, conservation and community-based partnerships to promote sustainable communities in Sonoma Valley.
