Sonoma Community Center begins annual membership drive

The Sonoma Community Center’s annual drive to renew memberships and sign up new members is underway.

Memberships start at $40 a year, and entitle the holder to discounts on classes and select events. Because Sonoma Community Center is a nonprofit organization, membership dues are tax-deductible.

“Membership dues make up a significant percentage of the center’s annual budget,” said Brock Arner, president of the center’s board of directors. “SCC was founded as member-based organization and ideally, every family and business in Sonoma Valley would be a member.”

During the month of April, members of the center’s board of directors will call lapsed members and help renew their memberships by phone or email. Prospective or renewing members are also welcome to stop by the community center office during business hours and sign up in person.

For detailed information about Sonoma Community Center, including membership benefits, visit the community center website at sonomacommunitycenter.org or stop by the front desk to pick up a membership pamphlet.

Membership purchase and renewal can also be made through the SCC website or by calling the front desk at 938-4626 ext. 1.

The Sonoma Community Center enriches the lives of the people of Sonoma Valley by fostering a broad range of cultural, educational, and community services, and by ensuring the preservation and restoration of its historic building.
