Serving more than 500 young people

Editor, Index-Tribune:

Sonoma Valley Teen Services provides employment and career resources for our local teens. We are a community organization completely dependent on the generosity of people who value our vision of developing young adults into happy, healthy, contributing members of society.

While our goal is to serve all teens, we know that the path to success is different for each young person. We partner with local businesses, schools and other agencies to provide a wide variety of opportunities, such as internships, work readiness training, school support services, life skills development, job placement services and the operation of micro businesses.

Our services are uniquely designed to wrap around the individual, forming relationships that gain his or her trust and allow us to help each one navigate through challenges and discover what makes their heart sing.

All told, we serve more than 500 young people, ages 13-23, throughout the entire Valley.

Since mailing our annual appeal letter, we have had requests for a way to donate electronically (by Pay Pal or credit card). Anyone wanting to support our work with a donation can go to svteens.org, click on the “contact” button and then click on the donate link and follow the prompts. Or, checks can be mailed to: Sonoma Valley Teen Center, 17440 Sonoma Hwy., Sonoma, CA 95476.

Thank you for caring.
