Sebastiani Theatre celebrates 80 years

The Sebastiani Theatre kicks off its year-long 80th anniversary celebration with a spectacular variety show promising music, magic, dance and more at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 19.

This unique variety show features fantastic performances by notable talents including Tommy Thompson with Cliff Hugo and Gary Vogensen; Jeff Gilbert, The Last Crooner; the gorgeous Nathalie Tedrick of The Bellydance Superstars; the multi-talented Tobias Weinberger; The Sonoma Conservatory of Dance; The Defying Gravity Gals; the lovely vocalist/guitarist Laura Benward; washboard player extraordinaire Peter Babcock; Voices in Our Head; the hauntingly glorious voice of Misty; and Roger Rhoten, The Magic Man!

Sponsored by the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation, this is the first event of many more to come throughout this 80th anniversary year of the classic Sebastiani Theatre which has served as an artistic and cultural focal point in the Sonoma Valley community since it opened in April 1934.

Upcoming events celebrating the theatre’s 80th year include the musical play “The Full Monty” on May 31, “Dead on Live,” a Grateful Dead Tribute Band concert, on June 13, along with many more special programs to be announced.

Beer and wine will be for sale by the glass.

The Sebastiani Theatre is located at 476 First St. E. in Sonoma. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
