Sebastiani hosts Holiday Wonderland open house

The Sebastiani Theatre invites the community to a special Holiday Wonderland open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at the theatre, 476 First St. E.

Once again, mega-talented artist Susan Bellach has transformed the Sebastiani Theatre into a magical winter holiday fairyland.

Featured in the entryway are holiday garlands and the glittery Tree of A Thousand Lights.

In the lobby, more sparkling lights greet patrons with a miniature Santa’s Village – in actuality, a metropolis – complete with a mini Sebastiani Theatre, Witchie Poo’s house, an enchanting moving carousel, and tiny skaters who really skate.

The entire theatre, including the concession and auditorium stage areas, is aglow with lights and decorations specially selected and gorgeously arranged by Bellach.

Bellach, a most multi-talented and generous-hearted person, has been decorating the theatre for both Halloween and Christmas for the past several years using decorations from her own personal collections. Whenever Bellach is awhirl with decorating at the Sebastiani Theatre, the general advice to all others present is, “Don’t stand still too long or Susan will decorate you!”

The public is invited to stop by the Sebastiani Theatre to enjoy cookies, hot apple cider and hot chocolate and to experience the fabulous holiday decor. Admission is free, although donations to the Sebastiani Theatre Foundation are invited and most welcome.
