Scaffolding going up

Alejandro Villanueva, with Skyline Scaffolding in Sacramento, was part of a two-man crew putting up scaffolding outside the Blue Wing Inn Thursday morning.

The work will involve the removal of the shingles, repairing the roof framing and installing plywood sheeting and re-shingling the roof. The $350,000 project is being done to protect the building, which is a part of the Sonoma State Historic Park, in the event of an earthquake and to provide for a replacement roof. The work is scheduled to be completed sometime this fall.
