Readers’ Theatre stages ‘Wit’

Sonoma Readers’ Theatre will present “Wit,” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29 and Wednesday, April 30, in Andrews Hall at the Sonoma Community Center, 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

Directed by Butch Engle, with Nellie Cravens, Richard Thompson, Rhonda Guaraglia, and Alexis Long.

A renowned professor of English sonnets has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. During the course of her illness – and her stint as a prize patient in an experimental chemotherapy program at a major teaching hospital – she comes to reassess her life and her work with a profundity and humor that are transformative both for her and her audience.

Tickets are $14, and are available at the Sonoma Valley Box Office, 938-4626, ext. 1, or online at svbo.org.
