Randy Frank Hooker, age 51, passed away from heart failure at Marin General Hospital in San Rafael, California on October 9, 2014.
Born November 4, 1962, in Banning, California, he was a lifelong resident of Sonoma California. He spent his later years caring for his aging parents, and the family Wild Game Bird business. Randy graduated from Sonoma Valley High School, and attended Santa Rosa Junior College. Randy’s career paths included working as a crew supervisor for F&J Bandag at the railroad yard in Sacramento, California, a ranch hand at M2L Ranch in Petaluma, CA, and as a technician for Discovery Office Systems. Randy was an avid gun enthusiast, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors with his German shepherd named “Dog”.
He is survived by his brother John Allen Hooker of Cotati, California, and sister Mary-Ann Sanders of Spokane, Washington. Surviving family members also include Randy’s Aunts, Dorcus Hooker (California), Beulah Hooker (Oklahoma), Anna and Mark Vimont (Oregon), and his nieces and nephews, Madonna Plourd, Sandy Keese, Paul Dillon Albright, Brian Allen Hooker, and Stacia Elise Rodden.
Services will be held at Duggan's Mission Chapel in Sonoma on Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Randy’s final resting place will be at Mountain Cemetery in Sonoma, California.
