Patricia Ann Chapman

Patricia Ann Chapman, 67, passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 19, 2013, at her home in Sonoma.

Patti was born on Sept. 4, 1946, in Kansas City, MO to Eileen and Max Chapman who preceded Patti in death. Patti grew up in Independence, MO, with her younger sister and two younger brothers. She attended Catholic schools – Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Mary’s High School.

Her work life in Kansas City began with the University of Missouri at Kansas City Dental School in administration and in the payroll office of the university later. Upon moving to San Francisco, she was employed by the University of California San Francisco as a Financial and Budget Analyst for more than 20 years.

Patti enjoyed the finer things in life including travel abroad and cruises. She retired in 2007 to Sonoma and was actively involved in Sonoma Valley Newcomers.

Patti is survived by three siblings, Nancy Eileen Wisdahl (Robert), of Melbourne Village, Fla.; James Michael Chapman (Kelly Fray) of Lee’s Summit, MO; and Stephen Bruce Chapman (Sharon), of Overland Park, Kan. Patti is also survived by two nephews, Christopher Michael Mayo (Sachiko) and Jason Miles Mayo (Kelly) and their children, Enzo and Lucas; Rebecca Ann Kraus (Kirk) and their children, Logan, Gretchen, Kylie and Owen.

Patti was a kind and generous person who had many loving friends.

She will be missed greatly and remembered always by her family.
