Overlook Trail Stewards host fundraising hike

The Stewards of Sonoma Overlook Trail will host a fun informative fundraising walk through Sonoma’s Mountain Cemetery from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 12.

Amateur historian, Fred Allebach, will lead the walk introducing hikers to cowboys and Indians, ranchers and real estate tycoons, farmers and farriers, carpenters and stone masons, quarrymen, grocers, butchers, bakers, perhaps a candlestick maker – and maybe even a murderer or two.

Proceeds will fund a free school bus program for Sonoma Valley fourth- and fifth-graders to participate in docent led walks of the Sonoma Overlook Trail.

This fundraising event is limited to 22 participants.

The $35 cost includes the walking tour and a picnic lunch.
