Poll: Brains, heart or courage?

Sonomans weigh in on their pleas to the all-powerful Oz...|

Sonomans were off to see the Wizard with our most recent online poll, which asked readers to imagine they were visiting the almighty Oz and tell us what they’d ask him for: brains, heart or courage – and why? It probably should have come as little surprise that, given the trying times in which we live – most people were looking for a bit more pluck.

Courage outdistanced the field with a whopping 48 percent, while heart and brains were less in demand at 28 and 24 percent respectively. Personally, we think that if they were spreading around the brains a tad more generously, heart and courage would follow. Until then, Sonoma, pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

A brain, to understand why it costs so much to live here

Courage to not have stupid poll questions like this one. Honestly, who cares?

Heart, and a home of my own.

The courage for a few school board members to put the needs of the students before their own need to grandstand.

I would ask him to put those Florida teenagers in the leadership of the NRA to bring some maturity, perspective, and wisdom.

Brain. My left anterior temporal lobe was removed eight years ago. I have fewer, less dangerous seizures than before but lost a lot of vocabulary and language structure that I would like back please, Wizard!
