The guild was founded to exhibit and advance the creative efforts of local Bay Area artists.

One such program is Artescape (artescapesonoma.com), an art school in Boyes Springs that holds classes, workshops, demonstrations, exhibitions and other continuing programs.
Founded in 1977, the guild has solidified its status as the oldest, continuously operating artists’ collective in the State of California.
The Arts Guild of Sonoma has a wheelchair accessible gallery located at 140 E. Napa St., Sonoma.
Admission is free and gallery hours are Wednesday to Monday, 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
