News from Sonoma’s Adele Harrison writing center

Students from Ellen Gruenhagen’s and Eric Wanous’s classes at Adele Harrison Middle School wrote and performed original fables for students at Prestwood Elementary School.

The preschool-through-fifth-grade audiences were delighted with the dramatic performances, delivered by Adele students with the aid of cleverly constructed puppets. As one young admirer remarked, “Do it again!”

“Land of Fables,” soon to be published, was created at the Adele Harrison Middle School Writing Center under the direction of teachers Regina Mellinger and Kathy Eschleman and was funded by the Sonoma Valley Education Foundation.
