Sonoma’s Seeds of Learning hosts annual fundraiser

The popular local nonprofit has hosted more than 200 service trips|

The Sonoma-based international nonprofit Seeds of Learning is hosting a fundraising dinner and auction on Saturday, Jan. 26. Proceeds from the event will go toward educational programs in Nicaragua and other similar initiatives.

For more than a decade, students from Sonoma Valley High School and adults from the community have traveled twice annually on service trips with Seeds of Learning.

The dinner is also the nonprofit’s annual opportunity to thank and celebrate the donors and volunteers who have helped support Seeds of Learning over the years.

SVHS graduate Dominic Tommasi will be speaking at the event, and he will be going to Puerto Rico at the end of January to work with Seeds of Learning, along with several other SVHS work groups.

The event is from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Hanna Boys Center, 17000 Arnold Drive.

Tickets are $115. For information, call 939-0471, or email info@seedsoflearning.org.
