Kinder registration in Sonoma begins Jan. 24

Sonoma Valley Unified School District is holding kindergarten registration events for the 2018-2019 school year beginning next week. An informational meeting is scheduled at Altimira Middle School at 17805 Arnold Drive from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 24. The presentation will be in English and Spanish.

For the first time, families will also be able to register their student online.

From 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, parents can receive assistance in using the new online registration system at both Altimira and Adele Harrison Middle Schools. School staff will be available to help parents sign in, scan documents, and navigate the new system. Assistance in English and Spanish will be available.

Registration requirements: Child must be 5 on or before Sept. 1, 2018; birth certificate; an up-to-date immunization record; two current proofs of address (lease agreement, current bill to address, etc.); parent photo I.D.; custody/gaurdianship documentation; oral health assessment form; and report of health exam.

Registration Information packets will be available at the information meetings, online at svusdca.org, at the district office, and elementary schools starting Jan. 25.
