The 411 on Easter fun around Sonoma

All the details you need for a weekend of Easter fun.|

The Easter Bunny is going to have to move at warp speed this weekend if he is going to make it to all of the events scheduled in and around Sonoma Valley. Grab the kids, synchronize your watches, and make a weekend of it.

The fun starts early on Saturday in Kenwood with a 9 a.m. Easter egg hunt in Kenwood Plaza Park. The Kenwood Firefighters Association is hosting and there will be plenty of eggs and prizes, and special areas for different age groups. Don't be late, or you'll miss out, and be sure to bring a basket for all your goodies.

Down the road a stretch, the Glen Ellen Fire Fighters will be hosting an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Dunbar School. Glen Ellen Village Market is providing 120-dozen eggs for volunteers to prepare the day before, April 14, at 3 p.m. at Glen Ellen Fire Station, 13445 Arnold Drive. Volunteers are needed to help with the egg dying and decoration. Call Edmond Joseph at 975-2222 to get involved.

The big Plaza event, the Soroptomists' annual Easter egg hunt starts promptly on Saturday at 10 a.m. The hunt goes quickly so arrive early. The festivities take place behind City Hall.

The Easter Bunny will be there to greet children. Children will be placed in four different divisions: 3 to 4 years old, 5 to 6 years old, 7 to 9. Children who find the 'Golden Eggs' will receive special Easter gift baskets. Children should bring their own bags or baskets. Children 2 and under will receive candy directly from the Easter Bunny.

The event starts right on time, so families are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes early. The eggs are usually gone in 10 minutes or less. For more information, call Cynthia at 939-1602.

On Sunday, St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Kenwood is hosting an Easter egg hunt between services, starting at 10 a.m.

ill have its annual egg hunt at the dome church at noon on Easter Sunday. There will be different areas for different age groups and music as well.

Putters, the newly remodeled mini-golf course at Maxwell Shopping Center, is having a soft opening on Easter Sunday at 1 p.m The Easter Bunny will be there for photos for a fundraiser for the SVHS Girls Varsity Softball team and an Easter egg hunt for all ages.

The Easter Bunny will also be stopping by Larson Family Winery from noon to 2 p.m. Kids can meet the Easter Bunny, and may even get a special treat – while grownups sample some of the winery's wines, as well. 23355 Millerick Road. Visit larsonfamilywinery.com.
