Sonoma Valley High Boosters Club news
Sonoma Valley High School’s Boosters Club has already begun funding programs for this year including fall sports, uniforms, Dragon Day T-shirts, student benches and the new dragon logo on the new gym floor.
The club anticipates funding requests to be more than $140,000 this school year.
Boosters primary funding revenue comes from its annual membership drive which is going on now through Monday, Oct. 31. The club’s goal is 100 percent participation from high school families.
As of press time, Boosters had 100 members for 2016, with donations of close to $30,000, but a goal of $75,000.
Another revenue source for Boosters is the concession stands at Arnold Field during football games and the Dragon Pit at the high school during volleyball and basketball games.
In order to keep these concession stands open, Boosters seeks volunteers. Sign-ups are online at sonomavalleyhigh.org/svhsboosters.html.
The Boosters membership committee will be at all the home football and volleyball games to sign up families and to sell Dragon logo wear. Spirit wear with the new logo is now available at home games and sport specific logowear is available online at mylocker.net/california/sonoma/sonoma-valley-high-school.
