Sonoma Valley Girl Scouts honored

Several local girls received their ten-year pin.|

Six graduating high school seniors in Sonoma Valley in Girl Scout troop 10406 were recently recognized by Girls Scouts of American and GS of Northern California at the annual “All That Glitters” ceremony in Santa Rosa.

Katie Klauber, from Sonoma Valley High School, won the Gold Award.

Klauber’s award included a $1,000 Gem of a Girl Scholarship and a 10-year pin.

Jacquelyn George, from Cardinal Newman, received her 10-year pin.

Katherine Perdue, of Justin-Siena, received her 10-year pin.

Melanie Davis, from Sonoma Valley High, won her 10-year pin.

Also honored were Cali Alton and Sofia Williams of Sonoma Valley High who were honored with the others with a graduating senior award.
