Free summer welding class for Sonoma teens

Metal design, art and blacksmithing for ages 14 to 18|

Local teens are invited to join industry professionals Mike Snowden and Anastatia Chiurco for a free course in welding this summer.

Students will get hands-on training and learn how welding can be used in a variety of work settings. Industry representatives will speak about post-secondary and career opportunities and students will have the chance to visit welding fabrication shops.

Each student will earn three elective high school credits upon completion.

The seven-week course meets from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every Saturday from June 18 to July 30 at Hanna Boys Center. Breakfast and lunch are provided.
