Intoxicated motorcyclist and more police reports

While on patrol in the vicinity of Riverside Drive and Boyes Boulevard around 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 29, a deputy pulled over a motorist for not having his lights on while it was raining. The driver was unlicensed and gave the deputy a fake name. The deputy later found a wallet containing a license with another name. The deputy discovered the man had his license suspended and was using his cousin’s name. He also had two warrants, and when deputies checked his fingerprints at the jail, they discovered a third name.

Jose Calvillo-Perwez, 39, of the Springs, was charged with felony personate to make another liable, driving while suspended and the two outstanding warrants. Deputies discovered the man had six aliases.

Oct. 13:

10:27 p.m. – Deputies were called to the parking lot behind the Sebastiani Theatre for a report of an intoxicated motorcyclist. The motorcyclist had almost crashed his bike and then he dropped his bike while standing next to it. Nicholas Camilleri, 24, of El Verano, refused to tell deputies how much he had to drink. But on a breath test, he blew a .19 and a .20, and was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, and was transported to jail.

Oct. 14:

11:09 a.m. – The Sonoma Valley High school resource officer was called when a member of the faculty detected the odor of marijuana on one young lady. During a search, the officer found a small amount of marijuana in the pocket of the girl’s jacket. But, the girl explained, the jacket wasn’t hers and she had borrowed it from an unnamed friend. The 16-year-old was cited for possession of marijuana on school grounds.

Oct. 15:

2:12 p.m. – Deputies were sent to the intersection of Broadway and East MacArthur Street for a report of a vehicle sideswiping another. The motorist told the deputy she was taking Ambient. Lee Varmuza, 70, of the Springs, submitted a blood sample and was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, drugs. She was transported to jail.

11:08 p.m. – A 31-year-old woman was arrested on charges of obstructing after deputies responded to an alcohol-fueled family disturbance in the 600 block of Andrieux Street. The woman tried to prevent deputies from handcuffing a third party. She tried to push the deputy away and yelled, “let him go.” The deputies did let him go, but arrested her on charges of obstructing a peace officer and transported her to jail.

Oct. 16:

12:50 a.m. – Deputies were sent to a residence in the 18000 block of Riverside Drive for a domestic disturbance. A female answered the door and told deputies it was only verbal, but the male said the argument was over and ex, and the male told the female to leave and which point, the female reportedly got a knife and cut her arm. The couple struggled over the knife, and deputies arrested the 34-year-old female on charges of domestic violence assault, and transported her to jail.

10 p.m. – Deputies responded to the Safeway after someone reportedly stole a bottle of alcohol and ran out of the store. When deputies arrived, they found a vehicle in the parking lot and discovered the driver was on searchable probation, and that among the terms was the man not drink alcohol. The man admitted he had two beers because he couldn’t smoke “any weed.” The man became belligerent and aggressive. Deputies arrested Robin Michelis, 22, of Santa Rosa, on charges of a felony probation violation, a misdemeanor probation violation and obstructing or resisting, and was transported to jail.

Oct. 17:

12:24 p.m. – Deputies were sent to a residence on Old Ranch Hill Road in Glen Ellen for a domestic disturbance. The 20-year-old male accused his girlfriend of cheating on him. He reportedly grabbed her in a choke hold, forced her into a car and drove off with her. While the car was stopped on Arnold Drive, she managed to escape with minor injuries to her neck. Deputies found the boyfriend, Abraham Hernandez, 20, of the Springs, and arrested him on charges of felony domestic violence assault with injury, felony false imprisonment and felony kidnapping. He was transported to jail.

4:22 p.m. – A 29-year-old Eldridge man was arrested on numerous charges after an incident in the 900 block of Madrone Road. The suspect, reportedly cut three tires on a vehicle in front of the apartment, after making threats to kill himself. After a third-party took the man’s knife, he took off and deputies found him hiding in the bushes on Arnold Drive. After being cuffed and put in the car, the man got angry and started yelling at deputies and banging his head on the divider. Deputies then placed the man in maximum restraints. When medics arrived to check the man out, they put him on a gurney, but he fought with them to get off the gurney. The man threatened to kill the deputies and to “kick their ass.” He kicked one deputy before the medics took him to the hospital. The deputies arrested Timothy Schoonover, 29, of Eldridge, on charges of felony obstruction, felony vandalism, battery on a peace officer and being under the influence of a controlled substance. After being checked out at the hospital, Schoonover was transported to jail.
