PG&E crews continued Tuesday to restore power to thousands in the North Bay still out from Sunday night’s electrical shutdown conducted by the utility company as a wildfire prevention step.

About 2,400 Lake County customers and 2,050 in Napa County remained out of power Tuesday morning, according to PG&E. The 415 customers in Sonoma County included in the planned outage were back online Monday night.

Lake County Sheriff Brian Martin Tuesday said about 1,700 customers remained out of power in Cobb and Loch Lomond with pockets of customers without power in other parts of the county.

PG&E expected to have power restored today to all of the remaining customers.

Sunday night, 17,500 customers in Lake, Napa and Sonoma were included in the 60,000-customer outage. By Monday night, almost 40,000 of the 60,000 customers included in the outage had power, PG&E said.

This was the company’s first time shutting down power during high fire danger weather events.
