Review of West Napa hotel EIR postponed

Additional time needed to complete environmental report, say city staff|

Cool your heels, Sonoma Planning Commission fans – the city on Wednesday announced a postponement of the Oct. 18 Planning Commission review of the revised draft Environmental Impact Report for the proposed Hotel Sonoma Project.

An EIR of the proposed hotel, a three-story 62-room hotel, 80-seat restaurant at 153 W. Napa St., has been in the works since the Sonoma City Council in July of 2017 upheld an appeal of the Planning Commission’s prior approval of the project.

According to the announcement, “the City’s environmental consultant needs additional time to complete the draft revised EIR and responses.”

The project will be re-noticed when documents are ready, said city staff.

More information and documents relating to this project can be found on the City’s website at https://www.sonomacity.org/hotel-project-sonoma/.
