Free program at Sonoma Valley Library on maximizing social security benefits

‘Social security is such an important part of our financial lives, both in the future and in the present,' says library manager Lisa Musgrove.|

The regulations concerning Social Security benefits can be confusing but are a critical component of all retirement planning.

Sonoma Valley Library is hosting representatives from the Social Security Administration who will present on “Social Security: Maximizing Your Benefits,” at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26.

SSA experts will present information on Social Security benefits and regulations and answer questions. Administrators will help participants to understand their benefits and learn how to maximize their payouts.

“Social Security is such an important part of our financial lives, both in the future and in the present. This presentation is an opportunity to learn more about it with the experts,” said library manager Lisa Musgrove in press materials announcing the workshop.

The event is free and no advance registration is required.

The library is located at 755 West Napa Street.
