First District Supervisor Susan Gorin is hosting a town hall meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, to update the community on county parks and trails in the Springs area of Sonoma Valley. “Maxwell Farms and Larson Park are such special places,” Gorin said. “I am looking forward bringing the community together to talk about where we are with the master plan for our parks, as well as hear an update on bike routes throughout the valley.”

Representatives from Regional Parks will provide general updates on projects such as the the proposed Sonoma Valley bike and pedestrian trail and the master planning for Maxwell Farms and Larson regional parks.

Park representatives also will offer information about Springs-area projects identified in the expenditure plan for Measure M, the 1/8-cent sales tax for county and city parks on the November ballot.

Representatives from the County of Sonoma Department of Transportation and Public Works will be available to address questions and provide information on plans for a feasibility study of a possible bicycle and pedestrian route along Arnold Drive.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Springs Community Hall, 18627 Highway 12.
