The Sonoma County Registrar of Voters is recruiting bilingual polling-place workers across the county for the Nov. 6 eection.

They are seeking poll workers who are bilingual in English and languages including Spanish, Khmer, Tagalog and Vietnamese. Workers will set up and close the polling place, locate voter names on rosters, get voter signatures, provide simple instructions to voters, issue ballots and assist with other duties as needed.

“This is a great way to participate in the democratic process, earn $100, and help voters to have a positive voting experience,” said Registrar of Voters officials in a press release.

To serve, poll workers must:

Be a registered voter in California or permanent legal resident of the United States; and be able to serve on Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 6) from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Non bi-lingual poll workers are also needed for Election Day. Contact the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters to volunteer or obtain more information: by email at rov-polls@sonoma-county.org; or by phone at 565-6816.
