Sonoma Valley High School students and the town’s local 4H Club brought home an array of awards at the recent Sonoma County Fair.

SVHS senior Annie Neles won the grand prize in the category of Supreme Grade Dairy Cow.

Grant Kiser, Sarah Kiser, Annie Neles and Ross Neles won for Best 4-H Club Group Dairy Cattle.

SVHS graduate Francesca Pharo, class of 2018, won in the category of Supreme Market Steer. Her cow, which weighed more than 1,250 pounds, was purchased for $10 a pound by Sonoma Valley local Joe Capriola.

“This is definitely going to help with her out-of-state tuition,” said her mother, Eileen Pharo. Francesca will be a freshman at Colorado State this fall.
