Cannabis drive takes a breather in Sonoma

Local cannabis advocate Jon Early’s plans to deliver signatures for a November ballot initiative were put on hold Wednesday at City Hall. Early had hoped to deliver the necessary signatures to put an initiative before voters calling for the city to license a cannabis dispensary within the city limits. But Early said he’d received conflicting information between city and county officials about the length of time the signature verification would take, and wanted to sort out the details before handing over the hundreds of ‘Johns Hancock’ he’d collected.
