A one-year wedding anniversary date in the Napa Valley turned deadly when a San Francisco couple’s Uber ride was hit head on by another car, authorities said Monday.

Jaryd Anthony Dock, 28, died in the three-car collision north of Yountville. His wife, Sara Tashakorinia, 27, and two other people suffered major injuries in the wreck on Highway 29, according to the CHP.

The two were celebrating their anniversary Saturday night with late dinner out and had hired an Uber driver to drive them from their hotel to a restaurant, Napa County Sheriff’s Capt. Steve Blower said Monday.

Hilda Arroyo, 53, of Angwin, was driving north on Highway 29 around ?8:50 p.m. when she lost control on a curve, sending her 2012 Dodge Avenger across double-yellow lines into the southbound lanes, the CHP said.

Arroyo first sideswiped a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Antonio Olivera- Martinez, 47, of St. Helena. The Avenger then crashed straight into a 2015 Hyundai Sonata carrying Dock and Tashakorinia, the CHP said.

Dock was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, near Brix restaurant. Tashakorinia, Arroyo and the driver of Hyundai, Uber driver Beau G. Washington, 48, of Vacaville, suffered major injuries. All three were taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa. None was listed as a patient on Monday afternoon, hospital spokeswoman Christina Harris said.

Olivera-Martinez wasn’t injured.

All three vehicles were moving at about 50 mph, the CHP said. The cause remained under investigation.
