Sonoma student completes Navy boot camp

Cameron is training for a career in advanced computer electronics|

Cameron Baker, 18, has completed an 8-week boot camp for the U.S. Navy in Great Lakes, Illinois last month. Baker is a graduate of Creekside High School (’17), Adele Harrison and Prestwood Elementary School. This month he begins his program as a seaman apprentice where he will begin training for his job as an electronics technician within the Navy’s advanced electronics computer field. Eventually his job will include maintaining and repairing electronic equipment used for communication, detection and tracking and navigation at sea or onshore.
