Lego fun: From 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31 Sonoma Valley Library is hosting Introduction to Lego Robotics. Participants will explore how robots interact with the world and build a sensor bot using Lego NXT Mindstorms with a partner. Once the robots are built, the programs stored on the bot will complete challenges such as drag racing, run-a-way and found-it. Pottery on the wheel: There is a new opportunity for your children to learn pottery on the wheel at the Community Center. The class is on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Jan. 21 to March 11. Students will explore a range of forms through multiple class projects in this all-level throwing class. Register online at sonomacommunitycenter.org. The class is $240 for nonmembers and $216 for members. After children gain some experience, the entire family is invited to enjoy open studio time daily.

'Murder on the Nile': Sonoma Valley High School's winter drama production of 'Murder on the Nile,' written by Agatha Christie and directed by Jane Martin and Janine Duma, runs Jan. 19, 20, 26, 27 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 21 and 28, at 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults/$5 for children, students/seniors/active military.
