Campfire: There will be another all-ages campfire in the Plaza Barracks with marshmallows and music hosted by the Sonoma State Historic Park from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20. Free.

Lego fun: From 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31 Sonoma Valley Library is hosting Introduction to Lego Robotics. Participants will explore how robots interact with the world and build a sensor bot using Lego NXT Mindstorms with a partner. Once the robots are built, the programs stored on the bot will complete challenges such as drag racing, run-a-way and found-it. The class is led by instructor Lindsay Hunter and is limited to 10 students ages 8 to 12. Register at sonomlibrar.org, or call 996-5217, or stop by the library.

Pottery on the wheel: There is a new opportunity for your children to learn pottery on the wheel at the Community Center. The class is on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Jan. 21 to March 11. Students will explore a range of forms through multiple class projects in this all-level throwing class. Register online at sonomacommunitycenter.org. The class is $240 for nonmembers and $216 for members. After children gain some experience, the entire family is invited to enjoy open studio time daily.

'Murder on the Nile': Sonoma Valley High School's winter drama production of 'Murder on the Nile,' written by Agatha Christie and directed by Jane Martin and Janine Duma, runs Jan. 19, 20, 26, 27 at 7 p.m. and Jan. 21 and 28, at 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults/$5 for children, students/seniors/active military. Tickets are on sale at Reader's Books, Pharmaca, and at SVHS, or at the Little Theater day of.

Ballet: The Atlantic City Ballet will be performing 'Sleeping Beauty' on Saturday, Feb. 17 at the Napa Performing Arts Center in Yountville. Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty features lavish costumes and more than 30 dancers. Visit lincolntheater.com for tickets.

A-ca-awesome: At 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20, Napa High School's a cappella Vocal Music Workshop is hosting its 13th annual 'A Capella Extravaganza!' Among the groups performing are 'Deviant Voices' from UCLA, the 'Stanford Fleet Street Singers,' and NBC's 'Sing-Off' favorites, the Filharmonic. Tickets are $20 with a student ID.
