Windsor man arrested on burglary charge

Resident woke up to find intruder in house|

A Windsor man is being held on $50,000 bail after he was arrested Friday evening at a residence in Schellville.

At about 11:30 p.m. Friday, a Schellville resident called 911 after waking up and finding a strange man standing in their bedroom. The man fled the house when the resident confronted him.

Deputies flooded the area and found 31-year-old Derik Zollo, of Windsor, emerging from the bushes nearby. Zollo was in possession of a key to the victims’ house that had been hidden outside the residence for emergencies.

Zollo was arrested on charges of felony burglary and outstanding warrants and booked at the jail.
