Groundwater panel applications due

City has one seat on the advisory committee|

The application deadline for the Sonoma Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency advisory committee has been extended.

The Sonoma Valley Groundwater Sustainability Agency (SV GSA) is a newly formed public agency and its purpose is to secure groundwater sustainability for the Sonoma Valley groundwater basin.

The agency has a governing board and an advisory committee. The purpose of the advisory committee is to provide input and recommendations to the Agency board on groundwater sustainability plan development, implementation and policies.

The committee provides community perspective and participation in the Agency.

The City of Sonoma makes one appointment to the committee and members must be a qualified elector within the City of Sonoma.

Applications are due no later than noon, Monday Dec. 11.

The City encourages candidates with experience and familiarity with groundwater and its management. The City will also give preference to applicants with experience working with diverse community-based groups.

Completed application along with a resume can be submitted by email to cityhall@sonomacity.org or in person. A paper application can be obtained at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, No. 1 The Plaza, or downloaded from the City’s website.
