The Sonoma Valley Democrats and the Sonoma County Democratic Party will co-host a conversation with several of the candidates for Sonoma County Sheriff from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the Sonoma Springs Community Hall, 18627 Highway 12 in Boyes Hot Springs.

Mark Essick, Ernesto Olivares and John Mutz will make statements and take questions at the meeting. The position of county sheriff carries enormous responsibilities and policy directives that demand the full attention and participation of the community. The primary election will be held in June 2018, with a runoff in November.

Prior to their presentation, there will be a potluck dinner and brief social time. Organizers ask that attendees bring a potluck dish to share. Everyone is welcome at no charge. For more information, email Beth at bethh@sonic.net.
