Portions of east Sonoma roads reopen

Parts of Gehricke, Seventh Street East, Castle Road and Old Winery Road open for re-entry.|

The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office last night lifted evacuation orders in several east Sonoma locations now deemed safe by fire authorities. Here’s the Sheriff’s latest report:

“The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office is lifting evacuation orders in the following areas. If you live in these areas, you can return home now. There will be more law enforcement personnel in your neighborhood to keep you safe. You do not need to check in with anyone and you do not need a law enforcement escort. You can access your property as you normally would.

Eastern Sonoma Valley: Portions of the eastern Sonoma Valley are now open, as defined by the newly opened roads below:

• Gehricke Road is open to the entrance to Ravenswood Winery

• Seventh Street East is open to the entrance of “The Ranch” (Closed at the gate)

• Castle Road is open to the entrance to Bartholomew Park Winery (Closed at the gate)

• North Castle is closed

• Old Winery Road is open to the entrance to Buena Vista Winery (Closed at the gate)
