Sonoma businesses offer free products and services

This list of local businesses that are offering specials for locals who have been evacuated is being continuously updated. Most offers ended on Oct. 22. Email lorna.sheridan@sonomanews.com with any additions or changes.

-- The No Pay Cafe at Sonoma Springs Community Hall is open everyday for all from 10 a.m. to noon. The are also volunteers to help daily from 11:00-3:00. Meals provided by www.sffightsfire.com.

- Free art appreciation. Sonoma Valley Museum of Art has two new exhibits opening this weekend that it has announced that admission is free to the public for the rest of the year.

-- Free everything at the St. Francis Church Mouse in Agua Caliente for all fire victims who have lost everything. 16885 Highway 12 in Sonoma, CA 95476

-- Veggies. Sweetwater Spectrum is harvesting its remaining row crops on Thursday, and donating them the the Springs Fire Relief Food Pantry, which is in the Palms shopping mall at Hwy 12 and Verano.

-- Music Nomad is offering to help any local musicians who lost their guitar, uke or banjo to get new equipment and they will provide strings and care products. Message the company on Facebook.

-- Teen Services Sonoma's Operation Bicycle is providing bikes for those who've lost theirs in the fires. If you or a family member is in need of replacing your beloved pedal-powered vehicle, please contact adrian@teenservicessonoma.org or stop by during shop hours (M-F, 3-7 p.m.) - 17440 Sonoma Highway, in the Springs - and they will do their best to outfit you with a new ride.

-- Sonoma Optometry in the Marketplace is offering free eye glasses for those that lost a pair in the fire. Eyes of Hope has provided a limited number of gift certificates to the Red Cross for free eye exams and glasses that can be used in the office. To obtain a gift certificate, call our local chapter of the American Red Cross at 577-7600. Ask them for a VSP Global Eyes of Hope Disaster Relief Gift Certificate.

-- The Springs Fire Relief Food Pantry on Hwy 12 (at Verano) has closed. Stay tuned for other options.

-- Brocco's Old Barn is open and accepting animal food donations and distributing food to those who have displaced animals.

-- FISH is distributing food and clothing from FISH Central at 18330 Sonoma Highway - with entry on Sierra Drive, Monday thru Friday. If needed, hours of operation will be extended to accommodate the demand. Call 996-0111 for information and assistance.

-- The Children's Museum in Santa Rosa has reopened and it is free to fire victims. thanks in part by a generous donation from PG&E. The Museum will also serve as a donation distribution center for items needed by young families who have been affected by the wildfires.
