Kori Schake teaches class at Sonoma Valley High

Students at SVHS had the chance to hear Schake speak (plus we’ve added photos from the Barn Talk).|

Sonoma Valley High School graduate Kori Schake (‘80) flew into town from Iraq last week to deliver a Barn Talk on international relations to a crowd of 200 on Sept. 7. She returned to her alma mater on Friday to teach a few classes to U.S. history, civics and forensics students at SVHS. Schake currently works for the Brookings Institute and teaches at Stanford. Over the course of her career, she has served in various policy roles including at the White House for the National Security Council; at the Department of Defense for the Office of the Secretary and Joint Chiefs of Staff and the State Department for the Policy Planning Staff.
