School board mulls Measure E projects

Campuses queue up to fill wish lists|

The Sonoma Valley Unified School District board recently went over the list of Measure E projects with the principals of the district’s schools, and will revisit the list again at its next meeting on Sept. 12.

Measure E is the $120 million general obligation bond the district’s voters approved in November 2016.

The board earlier decided to sell the bonds off in three sales, 2017, 2020 and 2023, instead of four because of the cost escalation by the time the fourth set of bonds is sold.

The district will sell $50 million this year, $40 million in 2020 and $30 million in 2023. The district could have the money from the first bond sale by the end of September.
