New ‘I-T’ offices almost ready

Staff of venerable paper returns to 117 W. Napa after yearlong sojourn|

“There’s no place like home,” Dorothy famously declared at the end of the “The Wizard of Oz.” Well, we at the Index-Tribune know exactly what that precocious Kansas schoolgirl was talking about – as we’re clicking our ruby-slippered heels together in hot anticipation of returning to our longtime digs at 117 W. Napa St.

It’s been just over a year since the renovation of 117 W. Napa got underway, sending I-T staff off for temporary relocation, conveniently, in the building across the street.

But, at press time, local contractor Jenkins Construction was putting the finishing touches on the renovation and the I-T staff anticaptes a triumphant return early next week.

Once we’re back in, the Index-Tribune will once again share the building with Krave Pure Foods, Inc., and welcome new office neighbor Sonoma Brands LLC.

The project architect was Michael Ross, of Ross Drulis Cusenbery

Our offices will be closed during the move this week, but we’re expecting to be open and back in business in our new offices at our old building after this weekend.
