A motor home drove off the winding two-lane Carneros Highway in Sonoma County Tuesday afternoon, overturning and ending up on its side on a service road next to a vineyard.

Traffic was not interrupted in either direction of Highway 121 / Highway 12, just west of Napa Rd., because the vehicle was not easily visible from the highway. The vehicle was headed west toward Sonoma when it ran off the highway at a curve; the accident was first reported at 1:58 p.m.

The beige Forest River charter bus or motor home had a heavily damaged front windscreen that may have provided an exit for the driver. The vehicle landed on its right side, so neither the passenger door nor the driver's door could easily be opened.

A 27-year-old female suffered neck and back pain and was sent for examination, though it's not clear from initial reports if she was the driver or a passenger.

Further reports are pending and this story will be updated.
