‘Friends’ book sale aids library

Quarterly book sale ?starts Wednesday with ?members' preview|

The Friends of the Sonoma Valley Library will have its August book sale starting Wednesday, Aug. 16 through Saturday, Aug. 19, at the library, 755 W. Napa St., Sonoma.

The sale starts with a members’ preview from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 16, and is open to the general public from 2 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday; 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

The Friends have an estimated 11,000 books, all donated, along with numerous CDs, DVDs, audiobooks and LPs. Paperbacks are $1 while hardbacks are $2. Credit cards are accepted.

All Sonoma Valley students grades K-12 get one free book. Nonprofit representatives and school staff are welcome to free books all day Saturday; register with Dave Dobbins at the sale.
