Schell-Vista, Glen Ellen fire seats on the ballot in November

Nominations are open for two seats each on the Glen Ellen Fire Protection District board and the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District board.

In Glen Ellen, boardmembers Ray Fredricks and Robert Norrbom Sr., are up for re-election, while in Schell-Vista, the seats of boardmembers Joe Peterson and Bob Kruljac are also on the ballot.

Voters who live in either of those districts have until Friday, Aug. 11, to file their nominating papers. If an incumbent fails to file for re-election, the nominating period is extended until Wednesday, Aug. 16. The election will be Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Potential candidates can obtain and file their nominating papers with the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters Office, 435 Fiscal Drive in Santa Rosa. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
