Sonoma County prosecutors added a dozen new charges Tuesday and alleged an additional victim in the case of a Hanna Boys Center official accused of sexually molesting at-risk children.

Kevin Scott Thorpe, 39, of Rohnert Park, was remanded into custody and held on $1.5 million bail after appearing before Judge Robert LaForge to enter a plea to his initial charges.

Thorpe, clinical director of the Sonoma Valley facility since last fall, was previously arraigned on three counts of molesting a teenage boy in 2009.

Prosecutors on Tuesday added 12 additional counts for acts they say Thorpe committed against a second victim over two years, from Jan. 1, 2007 to Dec. 31, 2008.

Thorpe has been employed as a counselor at the Catholic Church-based center for 14 years. The judge suspended his counseling license Tuesday at the request of the state Attorney General’s office.
