Melodrama fun comes to Glen Ellen’s Dunbar School

Annual production of fifth graders May 26, 27 and 28|

This year is the 25th anniversary of the Dunbar School fifth grade play production, which will be performed during Memorial Day weekend on the stage under the oaks at the back of the Glen Ellen campus.

This year the play is “A Bad Day at Gopher’s Breath” – a family-friendly melodrama complete with sound effects, costumes, slap-stick antics, a twisting plot line, a villainous sheriff, a robber turned hero, a ditsy femme fatale, and lots of audience participation.

“Director Kate Kennedy really brings out the best from these kids,” said principal Melanie Blake. “It’s a tradition not to be missed.”

Tickets available at the door; $10 adult, $5 child, or $25 family package.

Concessions and staking your picnic claim begins at 5 p.m., show starts at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 26, Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28.

A barbecue dinner will be offered by the Glen Ellen Fire Department prior to the Saturday performance, with food available at 4:30 p.m.
