Sonoma Valley High honors retiring staff

Six longtime staffers will finish career at SVHS this year|

Sonoma Valley High School hosted an early retirement celebration for its retirees last week with a celebration at the Reel Fish Shop and Grill.

'We had a wonderful time, filled the place and enjoyed music by band teacher Casey Jones' band, the Dixie Giants,' said Principal Kathleen Hawing.

Leaving the high school at the end of this school year are Delores Messier (campus supervisor), Don Lyons (English/varsity baseball coach), Jerry Klenow (math), Bill Sweek (social studies), Ann Wittbrodt (math) and Patty Sempell (science).

And event honoring all district staff retiring this year is set for later in May.
