While familiar favorites are returning, a host of new camps are being offered in Sonoma this summer – and now is the time to sign up. From entrepreneurship to engineering, sewing to singing and lifeguarding to Legos, there's a camp for just about every interest.

ARTESCAPE

ARTescape Sonoma will offer camps for ages 7 to 12 weekly from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. from June 11 to Aug. 3, with a variety of different focuses, plus a teen camp July 9 to 13. Choices include metal art, urban art, textiles and more. artescapesonoma.com

BALLET

The Sonoma Conservatory of Dance is offering dance, art, drama, knitting and writing programs this summer for ages 6 and up from July 9 to Aug. 17, as well as a Petit Ballet summer camp for ages 3 to 5, Aug. 13 to 17. sonomadancestudio.com

BOYS & GIRLS CLUB

The Boys & Girls Club offers a variety of camps for grades 1 to 5, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each week, as well as related field trips. Specialty camps include rock climbing, cars, 3D modeling, volleyball, soccer, basketball, flag football, app development, Lego, woodshop, art fantasy, baking, sewing and photography. COOKING CAMP

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

HANNA HAWKS DAY CAMP

Hanna Boys Center is again offering a sports and rec camp to the public this year. The co-ed camps, for ages 5 to 15, include separate weeklong camps for basketball and baseball, as well as weeklong general rec camps in June and July. NATIONAL ACADEMY OF ATHLETICS

NATURE CAMP & LEADERSHIP CAMP

Rhoten Productions returns with its all-day Nature Camp at Van Hoosear Wildflower Preserve, June 4 to Aug. 3. Activities for ages 5 to 12 include hiking, creek walks, nature studies, swimming, crafts and a ropes course. rhotenproductions.com

PETS LIFELINE

Pets Lifeline's summer camps run every week in the mornings from June 11 to Aug. 17. In addition to learning about the animals at the Valley's only animal shelter, camp includes weekly guests, reptiles, wildlife, therapy dogs and more. petslifeline.org

PERFORMING ARTS

SOCCER

Held at Field of Dreams, British Soccer Camps provides players with foot skills, technical drills, tactical practices, small-sided games, coached scrimmages, a daily tournament and a free ball and shirt. The camp runs July 9 to 13 and from July 30 to Aug. 3. Ages 3 to 12. challengersports.com

ST. ANDREW CHURCH CAMP

SONOMA ACADEMY OF DANCE

The Sonoma Academy of Dance is back, with a wide array of offerings this year for ages 4 to 16. The one-week sessions run from June 25 to Aug. 10 at Burlingame Hall. $135 to $250, depending on hours.
