Elderly man who went missing at Sonoma Regional Park has been found

The 68-year-old man suffering from dementia was found after he became separated from his caregiver midday while hiking at Sonoma Regional Park.|

A 68-year-old man suffering from dementia was found walking down Warm Springs Road in Glen Ellen seven hours after he went missing Thursday while hiking at Sonoma Regional Park, the Sheriff’s Office said.

David Elliott became separated from his caregiver between 11:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. but was found in good condition around 6:50 p.m.

He is described as 6-foot-4, 196 pounds with gray hair. He was dressed in a red-checked flannel shirt, jeans and was wearing a tan baseball cap with “Grand Canyon” on it.
